Access Softek has spent over 30 years creating software for the financial sector. Based in Berkeley, California, we support hundreds of banks and credit unions across the United States by providing modern digital banking solutions to millions of end users. We are currently seeking a Senior Back End Developer to join our Banking Platform Team on a full-time, remote basis. This team manages the core services for our platform, which serves over 400 financial institutions. You will play a vital role in delivering complex features and guiding our transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices. Please note that this position requires you to be available for work overlap between 2 AM and 10 AM PST/PDT.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex features while driving technical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate your workflow, ensuring all output meets our standards for security and correctness.
- Modernize legacy systems and maintain our microservices architecture by following best practices in CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing backend APIs and web applications using C#.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles, data modeling with MS SQL Server, and API development.
- Proven ability to manage architectural trade-offs and experience working with both microservices and legacy systems.
- Proficiency in NUnit or xUnit for testing and a strong grasp of Git-based workflows.
- Experience integrating AI or LLM features into products is considered a significant advantage.
- Strong communication skills with an Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take full ownership of projects from initial commit to production deployment.
