Senior Automation and Quality Assurance Engineer at April

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Automation and Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Israel. This is a senior-level position for an individual who is ready to take full ownership of our quality processes. You will be a key player in our core engineering group, helping us build, test, and refine our applications, APIs, and computation engine.

What will you do?

• Design and build the infrastructure, tools, and processes for both manual and automated testing across our entire platform.
• Collaborate directly with our product and engineering teams to define testing strategies, influence system architecture, and ensure quality is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle.
• Take the lead on driving quality initiatives, selecting the right tools, and advocating for best practices that help us overcome technical challenges and deliver reliable software.

• At least 3 years of experience in automation and quality assurance, specifically building production-level services for large-scale products.
• Proficiency in writing scripts using Python or JavaScript.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans.
• A solid background working with cross-platform services, including web, Android, and iOS.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for clean code and agile methodologies.
• A BSc in Computer Science or a related field is considered an advantage.
• Prior experience with American tax systems, API automation, Google Cloud, or gRPC is also a significant plus.
• Fluency in English is required for this role.
