TapResearch is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our team as the primary owner of our native SDK, which powers market research insights for hundreds of companies like Zynga and Qualtrics. We are a profitable, fast-growing organization that facilitates over 10 million responses daily, and we are looking for a dedicated expert to help us scale our mobile technology.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain our high-performance Android SDK using Kotlin.
Take full ownership of our Android domain by identifying technical challenges and implementing robust solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship impactful new features.
Monitor and optimize performance, resolve bugs, and ensure compatibility across various Android APIs.
Stay current with evolving industry trends and mobile development best practices.

Must-haves

At least 6 years of professional experience in Android software engineering.
Deep proficiency in both Kotlin and Java.
Expertise in the mobile development lifecycle and the app publishing process.
Strong grasp of design patterns, Android architecture components, and unit testing.
Excellent communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

Experience working with WebViews or cross-platform frameworks like React Native and Unity.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
A track record of publishing production applications to the Google Play Store.
Practical knowledge of SQL and Ruby on Rails.
