We are Blackbird Labs, a technology company founded in 2022 that is reshaping how restaurants connect with their patrons. Our platform integrates loyalty programs, membership benefits, and payment solutions to foster deeper relationships between diners and their favorite establishments. Backed by prominent investors like Union Square Ventures and Multicoin Capital, we are now seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. You will play a vital role in building the mobile experiences that allow guests to earn rewards and interact seamlessly with restaurants.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust Android applications that interface with complex hardware and network systems.
Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces that provide a premium experience for our restaurant guests.
Collaborate closely with our engineering team to ensure feature consistency across platforms and drive our product roadmap forward.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for building high-quality products. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

At least 5 years of professional experience in Android development.
Deep expertise in modern Android tools, specifically Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Hilt for dependency injection.
A proven ability to deliver scalable features while maintaining a focus on user experience.
A collaborative mindset and the desire to contribute original ideas to our growing platform.

What we offer
