The role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position for a veteran engineer who thrives on autonomy. You will serve as our sole Android expert, taking full ownership of our native SDK that processes millions of requests every day. We are looking for someone who views themselves as a master of their craft and is ready to lead projects that involve complex technical challenges while collaborating with our broader senior engineering team.

Core responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain our high-performance Android SDK using Kotlin.
• Act as the primary authority for our Android domain, identifying technical hurdles and implementing scalable solutions.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to plan, design, and deploy new features while ensuring compatibility across a wide range of Android APIs.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem and a history of building robust, customer-facing applications. Our requirements include:

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Android software engineering.
• Expertise in Kotlin and Java fundamentals.
• A strong grasp of Android architecture components, unit testing, and established design patterns.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle and app publishing processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SQL and Ruby on Rails is considered a plus.
