The role
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position for someone who is ready to design and build the foundational technology that powers our fleet of connected vehicles. You will play a vital role in our global expansion by crafting systems that handle massive amounts of data from our IoT devices and consumer apps, all while working alongside a talented group of engineers, designers, and data scientists.
Core responsibilities
- Architect and build highly scalable foundational platforms while leading new product initiatives and improving our core application experiences.
- Take ownership of critical technical decisions by scrutinizing architecture choices and serving as a primary decision-maker for our mobile systems.
- Collaborate across departments with product managers, designers, and operations teams to mentor fellow engineers and help shape our overall engineering culture.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in mobile development and a passion for our mission. We look for the following qualifications:
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of building impactful systems.
- Deep expertise in Android development and experience with mobile testing frameworks.
- A dynamic, hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to multitask across different functions.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with iOS development is considered a valuable bonus.
