The opportunity

We are expanding the team behind our Android application and need a Senior Android Engineer who can help us deliver the next generation of features our community relies on. In this role you will shape how millions of people experience crypto on their phones, working closely with product, design and backend colleagues to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, elegant code. Your work will sit at the heart of a product that already serves a worldwide audience and continues to grow.

A day in the life

• You might start the morning reviewing pull requests that refine how our wallet interacts with new blockchains, then move into pairing with a teammate to design a cleaner architecture for transaction history.
• By midday you could be writing automated tests that guard against edge-case network failures, or exploring a fresh Android Architecture Component that could improve how we sync data across devices.
• In the afternoon you might research an emerging development tool, sketch a solution for multi-threaded balance updates, and wrap up by documenting the approach so the whole squad can learn from it.

Who you are

You bring at least five years of hands-on experience building Android applications with Kotlin, Java and the Android SDK. You have shipped client-server mobile apps, understand the nuances of different Android versions, and feel confident working with Git, Gradle, Realm and SQLite. Patterns such as MVVM or MVI are second nature, and you know how to structure code that stays maintainable as the codebase scales. You write your own tests, solve problems without needing constant guidance, and you communicate clearly in English with colleagues around the world.
