McGrathNicol is a specialized advisory and restructuring firm dedicated to helping organizations enhance their performance, navigate risk, and secure long-term stability. Our Cyber and Technology division is currently undergoing a period of significant growth, and we are looking for a skilled professional to join our team in Brisbane as a Senior Analyst or Manager within our GRC Cyber practice. We pride ourselves on being a hands-on group that provides practical, effective solutions for complex cybersecurity, data privacy, and forensic technology challenges. Our team is known for remaining calm and composed while assisting clients through high-pressure situations and critical incidents.
Key outcomes
- Identify and quantify gaps in cyber resilience, capability, and maturity.
- Develop and implement strategies designed to address identified gaps and build robust governance frameworks.
- Assess and measure compliance against established standards, including ISO27001, NIST, CPS 234, and the ACSC Essential 8.
- Build and maintain comprehensive cyber and privacy risk management programs, including the oversight of third-party risks.
- Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and visual presentations for client briefings.
- Oversee engagement risks to ensure all project deliverables meet our high standards of quality.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all client information and sensitive data.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through a commitment to exceptional service.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.
- A deep interest in the technical aspects of information security, cyber risk, and privacy governance.
- Proven experience in delivering cyber risk and strategy projects, such as security risk assessments, awareness programs, and incident response simulations.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- A high level of drive, ambition, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Fluency in English.
