At Cardiosense we combine wearable sensors with advanced artificial intelligence to turn raw physiological signals into early warnings for cardiac disease. Our platform helps clinicians detect problems sooner and tailor treatment so patients can live healthier, longer lives.
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Algorithm Engineer on a full-time basis. In this position you will design and refine the signal-processing and machine-learning models that power our physiological-waveform AI platform, turning data from non-invasive sensors into clinically actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software that extracts clinically relevant metrics from unobtrusive, non-invasive sensors used in cardiac care.
- Apply digital signal processing methods to waveforms such as PPG, ECG, and SCG, then create and test both classical and deep-learning algorithms for hemodynamic assessment.
- Run parallel experiments, perform statistical and subpopulation analyses on clinical-trial data, and communicate findings to leadership.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least five years of experience in data analysis or related roles such as Data Scientist, Computational Biologist, or Bioinformatics Specialist.
- Practical experience working with wearable health sensors and biometric algorithms, including PPG, ECG, and respiratory signals.
- Strong command of digital signal processing techniques such as noise reduction, frequency-domain analysis, and filtering.
- Deep knowledge of both classical machine-learning approaches and modern AI/deep-learning methods.
- Proven ability to design analytic databases and apply rigorous machine-learning practices suitable for medical-device development.
- Clear communication skills for translating technical requirements and results to management teams.
Location
This role is based in the United States and follows a hybrid work model.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer the flexibility of hybrid work so you can collaborate in person when needed while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
