Are you ready to use your technical expertise to help improve health equity for 5 million people? We are CareMessage, a technology non-profit dedicated to building the largest patient engagement platform for low-income populations in the United States. Since 2013, we have reached 20 million patients by combining data, messaging, and interoperability to address social drivers of health. We invite you to join our mission-driven team as we leverage our Health Equity Engine to create scalable, measurable improvements in clinical outcomes.
What you bring
As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our data team by designing and deploying intelligent systems that drive strategic decision-making across our platform. This full-time, remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. Your work will focus on product development and engineering, utilizing tools like Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch within cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and optimize both generative and discriminative machine learning models.
- Architecting and maintaining scalable AI/ML pipelines that transition models from initial concepts into reliable production environments.
- Monitoring model performance post-deployment to address drift, ensure data privacy, and continuously improve the accuracy of our healthcare-focused AI solutions.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer, specifically with a focus on healthcare use cases. You should possess a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning. A strong track record in training and fine-tuning large language models is essential, as is the ability to deploy these models within cloud infrastructure. You must be proficient in English and possess excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. We value candidates who are self-driven, collaborative, and deeply committed to our mission of advancing health equity for underserved communities.
What we offer
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation, and the salary for this position is 190000 USD. We prioritize the well-being of our team members by offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally:
- Fully remote work environment with flexible hours.
- Generous paid time off, including 15 days of PTO, 18 company holidays, and half-day Fridays.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family.
- 401k retirement plan.
- Dedicated budget for professional development to support your ongoing growth.
