Based in Belgium, this role offers a hybrid work environment where you will play a pivotal part in protecting our digital landscape.
Key outcomes
- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of security measures in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Review cloud and infrastructure configurations to ensure they align with best practices and risk management standards.
- Oversee vulnerability scans and ensure that identified improvements are successfully executed.
- Develop and maintain our Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies while conducting regular access reviews.
- Facilitate risk analysis workshops and maintain our organizational risk register.
- Support the operationalization of our ISMS in alignment with ISO27001 and prepare the organization for internal and external audits.
- Establish logging and monitoring for critical systems, including the setup of detection and response capabilities like alerts and playbooks.
- Actively participate in our cybersecurity incident response team to manage and analyze security events.
- Manage and optimize our suite of security tools, such as EDR, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
- Enhance organizational cyber resilience by organizing awareness sessions and training technical staff in secure coding and deployment practices.
Requirements
- A bachelor or master degree in IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in an operational cybersecurity role.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks, including ISO27001, NIS2, CIS Controls, OWASP, or MITRE ATT&CK.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as logging and monitoring systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policies for colleagues and provide technical feedback to specialists.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional certifications such as ISO27001 Lead Implementer or NIS2 Lead Implementer.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Sentry, Defender for Endpoint, firewalls, Aikido Security, or Holm Security.
- Technical proficiency in network security, IAM, or scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
