The opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Security Operations Engineer to join our team. In this mid-level, full-time role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing our information security posture. You will focus on IT and infrastructure security, vulnerability management, alert monitoring, and cloud security. By implementing and managing the tools that protect our data, employees, and clients, you will ensure our systems remain resilient against evolving threats. This is a remote position that offers the chance to lead incident response efforts and drive the continuous improvement of our security protocols.
A day in the life
- You will design, implement, and maintain robust security controls and configurations to protect our IT infrastructure and systems.
- You will manage our SIEM and vulnerability scanning tools to actively detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into our business processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Who you are
You are a security professional with 3 to 7 years of experience in IT or infrastructure security. You possess a strong grasp of cybersecurity principles and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as M365 Defender, Mimecast, Rapid7, AlertLogic, and Wiz.
- A solid understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to lead incident response from initial identification through to documentation and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
While not required, having relevant certifications like CEH, CISSP, or OSCP, or experience building workflows in tools like Jira or Slack, would be a great bonus.
