Britsafe is looking for a Security Officer
We are looking for a dependable Security Officer to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. With over 30 years of industry experience, Britsafe is a trusted provider of security services, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive culture where our staff are backed by a 24-hour control room.
Responsibilities
- Manage access and egress points for the business park from our security cabins.
- Monitor the site closely and react quickly to any incidents.
- Perform regular, 45-minute patrols of the premises, which requires you to be physically fit.
- Maintain accurate records and write detailed logs regarding site activity.
- Assist staff and visitors with information and support.
- Coordinate with emergency services whenever necessary.
- Operate a company vehicle to conduct site patrols.
Must-haves
- A valid SIA licence.
- A full driving licence to operate our company patrol vehicle.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail and a vigilant, reliable nature.
- The physical fitness required to complete regular site patrols.
- Fluency in English.
- Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off night shift rotation, with the ability to cover day shifts when required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working in a security role, though we are happy to provide training for the right candidate.
Benefits
- Compensation of £26,000 per year, based on a rate of £12.21 per hour.
