Security Instructional Assistant at Menta

A program at the Tempe McClintock campus is a unique public/private partnership that prioritizes student independence and individualized growth. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and help us maintain a safe, supportive, and productive learning atmosphere for our students.

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Security Instructional Assistant for a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a school setting and wants to make a tangible impact on student development. You will work a consistent schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, which means you can enjoy your evenings and weekends off.

What will you do?

• You will manage classroom behaviors by providing interventions, redirecting students, and de-escalating tense situations to ensure a safe environment.
• You will act as a primary point of contact for safety, maintaining classroom order and remaining alert to any conditions that might disrupt the educational process.
• You will implement behavioral program policies and document data accurately while reporting any behavioral concerns to the appropriate staff members.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should be at least 23 years of age and comfortable working with high-risk special needs students. We value candidates who can think quickly and act tactfully under pressure. While not required, we find that individuals with backgrounds in behavioral science, kinesiology, coaching, juvenile justice, or military service often excel in this position. Proficiency in English is essential. Additionally, we strongly prefer candidates who have a good driving record and are willing to operate a student van.
