We are currently partnering with an award-winning, family-run retail business to find a dedicated Security Guard for a full-time, on-site position. This company has been a staple in the industry for over 40 years, operating stores across London and Hertfordshire. With a team of more than 280 employees, they provide a vast range of over 22,000 products for construction, electrical, plumbing, and DIY projects. You will be based at their busy builders merchant location in Kennington, SE11, working directly under the branch manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage the safe flow of traffic within the yard to ensure that all vehicles enter and exit the premises without incident.
- Verify customer tickets against the goods being loaded to ensure accuracy during the departure process.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment for both staff and visitors.
Requirements
We are looking for a senior-level professional who has a proven background in security. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and construction environment. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be interacting with customers throughout the day. You must be available to work a consistent schedule of Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm, with the requirement to work every second Saturday from 6.30am to 3.30pm.
What we offer
