What you bring
As a Mid-Level Security Engineer, you will join our team on a full-time basis to help secure our cloud infrastructure and sensitive information. You will play a vital role in identifying security gaps, driving remediation, and maturing our overall security architecture. This position is based in Puerto Rico and operates under a hybrid work model. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing and deploying applications to monitor cloud infrastructure security and detect potential intrusions.
- Performing initial triage for security incidents to determine their scope, urgency, and overall impact.
- Collaborating with our engineering and infrastructure teams to implement best practices for Azure, IBM Cloud, and on-premises environments, including OS hardening and patching.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach to information security. You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, though we will consider equivalent experience. You should have at least three years of experience in infrastructure and information security, specifically working with production workloads in cloud environments like Azure or AWS. Proficiency in English is required for this role. We value candidates who are skilled in incident response, threat modeling, and the application of security frameworks like ISO27001. Having certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CEH is considered a plus, as is experience with Linux hardening and HCI technology.
