Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role that offers flexibility, though we prioritize candidates who can occasionally contribute from our San Francisco office. You will be instrumental in shaping our security culture and protecting our platform as we scale.

Your impact

• Partner with our product engineering teams to design and implement solutions that are secure by default.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert on security, translating complex technical requirements for both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strengthen our security posture through the development of automation, custom tooling, and comprehensive team training.

What you'll need

You should have a solid foundation in computer science, backed by a degree or equivalent industry experience. We are looking for someone who brings multiple years of professional security experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key requirements include:

• Practical expertise in application and infrastructure security within cloud environments.
• A strong grasp of SOC2 and PCI compliance standards.
• Exceptional communication skills to advocate for security initiatives while maintaining business velocity.
• The ability to work independently and identify potential vulnerabilities before they become issues.
• Proficiency in English.

Perks and compensation

For this role, the base salary range is $160,000 to $180,000, depending on your experience. Please note that this figure does not include equity or variable compensation, which are significant parts of our total offer.
