Role at a glance

We are seeking a Security Engineer Specialist to join our Android Security Operations team. This is a full-time, mid-level position based on-site in Bangalore, India. You will serve as our first line of defense against harmful applications, working in a cross-functional environment to keep the Android ecosystem safe.

Your impact

• Perform deep reverse engineering of Android applications to identify and mitigate malicious code.
• Collaborate with engineering, policy, and legal teams to investigate threats, update security policies, and close product loopholes.
• Enhance our detection capabilities by analyzing the effectiveness of current static and dynamic analysis systems and developing automated solutions for new malware techniques.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in security research and a commitment to user privacy. We require the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in security research or malware and abuse detection.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and decompilers such as Burp, Jadx, Frida, or JEB.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A technical mindset that enjoys tackling complex investigations and analyzing telemetry data for anomalies.
