The opportunity

We are searching for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team and help ensure that Ramp remains the most secure environment for our customers to manage their financial data. In this role, you will act as a guardian of our infrastructure, ensuring that security is woven into every product we ship. You will work closely with our infrastructure and DevOps teams to build systems that are secure by design, allowing us to scale our growth safely and efficiently. This is a high-impact position where your work will directly influence the integrity of our platform and the trust our customers place in us.

A day in the life

• You will take the lead on our cloud security roadmap by conducting thorough reviews of our deployments to find and implement meaningful improvements.
• You will design and build robust security primitives, integrating them seamlessly into our existing product development processes.
• You will partner with our engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges, ensuring that our infrastructure remains resilient and inherently secure.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with at least 5 years of software development experience and a deep understanding of cloud environments. You bring a strong sense of ownership and the ability to take projects from initial concept all the way to production. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous learning is the norm. Specifically, we are looking for:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience working within AWS using Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in Python and a desire to master new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English, as you will be collaborating across various technical teams.
• A proactive mindset that thrives on building secure, scalable solutions in a fintech setting.
