Security and Logistics Officer at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is a leading provider of sexual and reproductive healthcare, operating 20 health centers across a three-county region in Southern California. We are looking for a dedicated Security and Logistics Officer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity to help us maintain a safe, welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport medical samples and medications safely and efficiently between health centers and our in-house laboratory.
• Conduct regular facility checks and foot patrols at assigned locations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for local law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Manage security response protocols, including incident reporting and clear communication during emergencies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot security equipment such as alarm panels, surveillance systems, and access control devices.
• Assist the Regional Security Manager by training staff and volunteers on emergency procedures and security topics.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of company-provided vehicles.
• Audit disaster supplies and equipment to ensure they are ready for immediate deployment.
• Provide security coverage for both on-site and off-site organizational events.

Must-haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience within the security industry.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to obtain a Proprietary Private Security Officer License upon hire.
• Commitment to completing the Threat Liaison Officer Course within 90 days of starting.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification within 90 days of starting.
• Ability to obtain IAHSS Security Officer certification within 120 days of starting.

Nice-to-haves

• Completed college coursework in a related field.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment.
• Prior experience in courier services or operating company vehicles.
