The role

We are searching for a Senior Security Analyst to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a critical position for someone who excels at threat hunting and incident response. You will report directly to our Senior Security Engineer II and play a key role in hardening our cloud environments, specifically within AWS, while managing our security operations across the board.

Core responsibilities

• Lead our incident response efforts by monitoring and triaging suspicious activity to protect our infrastructure from malicious attacks.
• Manage and optimize our SIEM platform by analyzing system logs, creating custom detection rules, and responding to emerging threats.
• Support our compliance and privacy initiatives by assisting with audits, responding to RFIs and RFPs, and implementing NIST guidelines across our systems.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in cybersecurity and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of equivalent professional experience in a cybersecurity role.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with EDR platforms like Crowdstrike.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in security operations, threat detection, or incident response.
• Proficiency in writing detection rules and queries for SIEM tools.
• A solid understanding of network security, application security, and various operating systems.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide on-call support during security incidents.
• Bonus points if you have experience with the AWS security stack, strong Linux or MacOS knowledge, or relevant certifications like Security+, GCIH, or GCIA.
