SDET - Java Developer/Python Developer at Convera

As a SDET with CODING experience in Java or Python and with expertise in Automation Testing with Convera, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust test automation solutions for functional, integration and non-functional tests. You will use your knowledge of test automation approaches, best practices, and techniques to develop efficient and scalable solutions for test automation.

You will be responsible for:

• Building test plans, test scenarios and test data to support development projects and project requirements and design documents.
• Executing test cases/scripts/scenarios on schedule (Functional, Systems Integration, and Regression Testing), and open defects as needed.
• Evaluating the functional and non-functional requirements for test ability and use suitable cases for automation.
• Developing/building test automation strategy/framework as required and focus specifically on maximizing reusability for regression.
• Designing, building and executing automated tests to validate data centric applications.
• Identifying regression testing needs and create and maintain an Automated Regression Suite.
• Providing test execution reports.
• Working closely with architects to analyze the end-to-end scenarios, gather requirements, and design the test cases that needs to be automated.
• Maintaining automated scripts utilizing the existing framework, adhering to coding standards.
• Suggesting/exploring alternate tools for automation to bring-in more productivity and coverage.
• Participating in troubleshooting and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Working as part of cross functional teams spread across India and the UK for developing and implementing Test automation in an Agile environment.

You should apply if you have:

• E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
• 6 to 8 years’ experience as SDET
• Minimum 5 years of CODING experience with Java OR Python.
• Working knowledge of software testing methodology.

• Good Programming Skills and Automation mindset
• Solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies
• Coding experience in scripting or programming language like Java, Javascript, Python
• Highly proficient at debugging issues
• Experience in API testing, Mobile Testing and Web Testing
• Experience in writing Web and API automated tests
• Excellent understanding of Automation Tools like Selenium with Java, REST- Assured or any similar tool
• The skills in writing SQL/MySQL for data validation
• Experience in Test management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, CONFLUENCE or any defect tracking tool.
• ISTQB Foundation certification
