SDET – Game & Platform at SHRAPNEL STUDIO

At Shrapnel we build tools that let players create, own, and share game experiences at the crossroads of gaming and blockchain technology. Our experienced team has shipped world-class titles and large-scale platforms, and we are now inviting a Senior SDET to help us raise quality across both our game and our growing ecosystem of web3 features.

What you'll be doing

• Design and deliver technical solutions such as test frameworks, automation suites, API hooks, and supporting tools that raise coverage while lowering the cost of test execution.
• Define and track quality metrics, analyze results, and communicate risk status to engineering and product partners so the team can make informed decisions about releases.
• Mentor fellow engineers and analysts, guide technical direction for the quality team, and champion the end-user experience in every product decision.

What you'll bring

• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python, along with JavaScript or TypeScript, and familiarity with Unreal Blueprints.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years in a QA Engineer, SDET, software engineering, or similar role with a clear focus on quality.
• Expertise in regression, acceptance, functional, load, performance, and stress testing practices.
• Hands-on experience architecting automation frameworks, test harnesses, and QA-focused tooling.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline solutions and comfort working inside both agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Practical experience with 3D game engines such as Unreal or Unity, plus development across web, PC, mobile, console, and backend environments.
• A track record of mentoring teammates, setting strategic goals, and collaborating closely with technical leads and product owners.
• Fluency in English.

What you'll get

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $180,000 plus equity in the form of stocks and tokens, along with a competitive benefits package.
