SDE (Flutter) at Plane

At Plane, we are redefining how organizations manage their work. We believe that existing project management tools have become too complex and rigid, which often hinders rather than helps team productivity. Since our launch in 2022, we have focused on building an open-source platform that balances simplicity with the scalability required for companies ranging from early-stage startups to those preparing for an IPO. We are currently looking for a Mid-Level SDE with expertise in Flutter to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis to help us continue building a tool that brings joy back to project management.

Key outcomes

• Design, build, test, and launch high-quality mobile applications using the Flutter framework.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to interpret requirements, assess the impact of potential changes, establish realistic project timelines, and ensure successful execution.
• Maintain thorough documentation regarding technical specifications, architectural decisions, and code modifications.
• Apply a sharp focus on UI/UX principles to ensure our applications are intuitive and user-friendly.
• Utilize your problem-solving abilities and communication skills to navigate complex challenges within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Between 2 and 5 years of professional software development experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of Dart and the Flutter framework, including experience with state management, custom widget creation, and animations.
• Strong foundational understanding of Android or iOS platform components and their specific nuances.
• Proven ability to debug technical issues and optimize mobile application performance.
• Experience working with REST APIs and integrating mobile frontends with backend services.
• Proficiency using Git for version control.
• A strong command of the English language.
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to thrive in a dynamic, startup-oriented culture.
