Salesforce Senior Developer (1 Year Contract) at BAE Systems

We focus on collecting, connecting, and interpreting complex data to help governments, armed forces, and commercial enterprises achieve digital advantage in challenging environments. Our Customer Management Systems team, based in Kuala Lumpur, manages the portfolio of business systems that empower our customer-facing teams. We are currently seeking a Salesforce Senior Developer for a one-year contract to join our collaborative, Agile-driven environment.

Key outcomes

• Develop, configure, and maintain our internal Salesforce platform, including custom objects, flows, workflows, and analytics.
• Manage day-to-day Salesforce administration tasks such as user roles, security profiles, and validation rules.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and architects to design and implement robust technical solutions that drive business value.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear documentation and facilitate system demonstrations for stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance and perform trend analysis to identify and implement preventative solutions.
• Ensure all developments adhere to governance standards, legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Work within a self-organizing team to deliver high-quality features using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on Salesforce development.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with a background in Java development and web applications.
• Expertise in Salesforce administration, the Force.com platform, Visualforce, and Apex.
• Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning Web Components, HTML, and scripting languages.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience working within structured Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments.

Preferred qualifications

• Current Salesforce Developer certification.
• Familiarity with additional platforms such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ and other marketing or documentation tools.
