At Union, we are tackling one of the most complex hurdles in AI infrastructure by enabling high-velocity iteration while ensuring production-readiness for AI workloads at scale. We steward Flyte, an open-source project that has become the standard for data and AI orchestration, trusted by industry leaders like Stripe, LinkedIn, and Wayve to manage mission-critical workflows. Our team is composed of infrastructure experts and a technical founding group from Lyft, backed by top-tier investors. We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis to help drive our ambitious growth goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery, design, and demonstration process for prospects by collaborating closely with our engineering, product, and sales teams.
- Own the technical success of customer trials by defining success criteria and effectively bridging the gap between technical outcomes and business value.
- Provide hands-on support for onboarding users and workflows, including debugging complex infrastructure and code issues within integrated end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales for highly technical products, with a preference for candidates who have thrived in early-stage startup environments.
- Deep expertise in MLOps, machine learning infrastructure, and data processing, including practical experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, and Flink.
- Strong working knowledge of distributed systems, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and modern infrastructure tooling including Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Authorization to work in the United States, as this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
