The role
We are looking for a talented Sales Development Representative II to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position designed for an ambitious and high-energy professional who thrives on the front lines of a growing tech company. You will be based in Japan and work in a remote capacity, focusing on building our SaaS pipeline by connecting with prospective customers and identifying new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with our sales teams to drive the adoption of the Matterport platform among medium to large-scale organizations.
Core responsibilities
- Engage with potential clients through phone, email, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to generate new business leads.
- Partner with our sales team to qualify opportunities and book high-quality meetings for our Account Executives.
- Maintain consistent outbound activity and research assigned accounts to deeply understand customer needs and facilitate effective follow-up.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to sales. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or a similar sales development role.
- Proficiency in the English language, as you will be communicating with senior leaders across various industry verticals.
- Experience with CRM tools, with a preference for those familiar with Salesforce.
- A curious mindset and the ability to ask meaningful questions that help position our Account Executives as expert problem solvers.
- The ability to quickly grasp a prospect's core business challenges and industry-specific needs.
