Rust Engineer - Trading at Keyrock

We are currently seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join our Options Business Unit, specifically to support our operations within the Americas timezone.

Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain robust internal and external tools to facilitate our trading activities.
• Integrate our infrastructure with various cryptocurrency exchanges, banks, and brokers.
• Manage the setup and deployment of sophisticated trading algorithms.
• Implement complex financial logic across our suite of microservices.
• Propose and execute infrastructure improvements to support our evolving technology stack, which includes Rust, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional programming experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with functional or component testing for services.
• Proven ability to build REST and Websocket API clients.
• A solid understanding of the full web technology stack, including HTTP, caching, and asset loading.
• Foundational knowledge of financial markets, order books, and trading concepts.
• A basic understanding of how to sign encrypted requests.
• Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and proficiency with Unix systems.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience developing options trading systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js to complement your Rust expertise.
• Prior experience interacting with cryptocurrency exchange APIs.
• Experience building clients that consume streaming data.
