Rust Engineer - Options Trading at Keyrock

We are now looking for a talented engineer to join our Options Business Unit and help us push the boundaries of what is possible in high-performance trading.

Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position specifically for candidates based in the Americas timezone. You will play a vital role in maintaining and scaling our sophisticated infrastructure, which leverages a modern stack including Rust, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.

Your impact

• Develop and maintain internal and external tools that power our core trading activities.
• Integrate diverse APIs from cryptocurrency exchanges, banks, and brokers into our existing infrastructure.
• Manage the setup and deployment of trading algorithms while implementing complex financial logic across our microservices.

What you'll need

We are looking for a low-level systems thinker who is passionate about crypto and algorithmic trading. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where communication and self-awareness are key.

• At least 3 years of professional programming experience, with a strong focus on Rust.
• Experience working with SQL databases and building REST or Websocket API clients.
• A deep understanding of the full web technology stack, including HTTP, caching, and asset loading.
• Familiarity with Unix systems and functional or component testing.
• A basic grasp of financial markets, order books, and trading logic.
• Bonus points for experience with options trading systems or Node.js.
• Fluency in English is required for this role.
