About the Role
We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Consultant to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing applications that interact with our extensive financial data sets. You will partner directly with our product and operations teams to brainstorm and implement creative solutions. Because our infrastructure is entirely cloud-based, you will have the opportunity to work with modern tools and technologies in an environment that prioritizes clean, efficient development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust applications using a versatile tech stack that includes Ruby on Rails, Python, and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet our rigorous standards.
- Optimize our applications to ensure peak performance and scalability while maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, we look for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with Ruby on Rails, Python, or Java.
- Demonstrated expertise in Ruby on Rails development, including the use of relevant libraries and frameworks.
- Practical experience working within Heroku environments.
- A solid grasp of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, alongside experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and a strong understanding of agile development methodologies, testing, and debugging.
