About the Role
We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work directly with our robotics platform, interfacing with drone technologies and robotic systems to empower solar farm operators worldwide. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define technical roadmaps and build innovative features that make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Prototype, build, and test software and hardware platforms that interface with drones and robots.
- Design, deploy, and maintain full-stack mission planning and fleet management software using tools like React and Python.
- Develop proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies, ensuring they can scale into robust production systems.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience using languages such as Python or C++.
- Practical experience working with commercial robots or drones.
- Proficiency with modern web frameworks, SQL databases, and GIS mapping technology.
- An FAA Part 107 certificate or a willingness to obtain one.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Location
This is a hybrid role. You must be located in either Boston, MA, or Denver, CO, and be available to work in person three days per week.
