We are Built Robotics, and our mission is to build the robots that build the world. We are currently focused on automating repetitive tasks within the 300 billion dollar solar industry to help bridge the workforce gap and accelerate the global transition to clean energy. We are looking for a mid-level Robotics Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. You will have the unique opportunity to work directly on our 100,000-pound autonomous construction equipment, helping us shape the future of heavy machinery.
Key outcomes
- Design, develop, and test new bolt-on features for our autonomous construction fleet.
- Create and optimize high-level planners and control systems for various construction tasks.
- Contribute to the development of our robot command and control user interface.
- Enhance the precision and performance of our object recognition systems.
- Establish and maintain high standards for code quality and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate on the product roadmap and participate in our daily code deployment cycle.
Requirements
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience working with distributed systems.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Working knowledge of computer vision.
- Experience with controls engineering.
- Background in mechanical engineering.
Compensation
The starting annual base salary range for this position is 95,000 USD to 125,000 USD. Your final compensation will be determined based on your individual qualifications, location, and current market demands. In addition to your salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
