We are Tutor Intelligence, a company building the next generation of accessible and intelligent robot hardware. We are looking for a mechanical engineering co-op to join our on-site team in the United States and help create robot components that move quickly from concept to prototype.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robot grippers, enclosures, auxiliary actuated devices, and various mounts and connections.
- Work across multiple fast-moving projects that change frequently, often spending only a few weeks on any single task.
- Focus on rapid prototyping with short iteration cycles to keep development moving at high speed.
Must-haves
- Proficiency with Solidworks for mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing, including building, maintaining, and optimizing printer settings.
- Ability to work with electrical components such as reading datasheets, specifying sensors, and using measurement tools like multimeters or oscilloscopes.
- Strong practical experience building physical prototypes and hardware projects.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with pneumatics, especially positive-pressure or vacuum air systems used in end-of-arm tooling.
