We are looking for a dedicated Research Intern to join our policy team on an on-site basis within the United States. At IAVA, our mission is to support the newest generation of veterans by investigating the complex challenges they face and proposing effective public policy solutions. Our team serves as a vital internal resource, providing meaningful data and producing comprehensive reports that turn complex information into actionable advocacy. As an intern, you will work directly under our Research Director to help us maintain current information and communicate critical issues to the public.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of policy research, including data collection, analysis, and the creation of final reports.
- Conduct rapid response research to address emerging topics and draft content such as briefs, blog posts, and policy papers.
- Engage with the policy landscape by attending Congressional hearings, conferences, and various events throughout Washington, D.C.
Requirements

- Excellent writing abilities to help translate complex ideas into clear, accessible content.
- Proficiency in English.
