Remote Staff Frontend Developer at Contrast Security

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Staff Frontend Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-level role for a seasoned engineer with at least ten years of experience in commercial or enterprise software. While your focus will be on the frontend, we are looking for someone with a full-stack mindset who wants to take a holistic view of our application architecture. You will be based in the United States, specifically within the Central or Eastern Time Zones, and will play a key role in shaping the future of our platform.

What will you do?

• Architect and develop sophisticated user interfaces for our mission-critical analytics applications using TypeScript, ReactJS, and modern web standards.
• Collaborate closely with our product and design teams to build elegant, high-performance features while managing reusable components within our company-wide design system.
• Take ownership of performance and scalability by optimizing page loads, data transfers, and automated build pipelines within our AWS infrastructure.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a master of TypeScript and have extensive experience building scalable single-page applications with ReactJS. You understand the importance of clean, maintainable code and have a strong eye for design and quality. You are comfortable working with REST APIs and have a solid grasp of backend technologies like Java/Spring or Python/Flask. We value problem solvers who prioritize simple solutions to complex challenges. You should also have hands-on experience with at least one AWS service and a deep understanding of testing frameworks. Most importantly, you are a strong communicator who values collaboration, pair programming, and contributing to the open-source community.

What's in it for you?

We offer a competitive annual base salary range of $140,000 - $185,000. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for an equity package. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
