Remote Senior Software Engineer at Pelago

What you'll be doing

• You will write clean, effective code as a key member of our diverse and multi-skilled development team.
• You will design and architect modern, innovative systems while championing best practices for software quality, including testability, security, and scalability.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and business teams to solve genuine, real-world problems using state of the art technologies.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, we look for candidates who have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in software development and delivery. You should be comfortable working in an environment that values Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery methodologies. We are looking for someone who brings the following expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with GraphQL.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services, specifically AWS Lambda.
• A proven track record of deploying code to production using CI/CD pipelines and utilizing TDD.
• A security-conscious mindset, with a strong understanding of API design and common vulnerabilities like the OWASP top 10.
• Excellent communication skills to share your technical solutions through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
• Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global, diverse team.

While not required, experience with AI technologies, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, or working within the travel industry is a plus.
