The role
We are looking for a Remote PRN Dietitian to join our clinical nutrition team. This is a full-time, mid-level position based in the United States. You will play a vital role in supporting our operations at Christus Good Shepard Medical Center in Longview, Texas, by providing expert nutritional care in a 425-bed hospital setting. This role requires a commitment of 16 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale up to 32 or 40 hours as needed.
Core responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical nutrition therapy, including conducting assessments, modifying diets, and providing patient education and intervention.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA regulations and facility-specific clinical policies.
- Support the broader team by participating in quality assurance programs, departmental meetings, and mentoring patient services staff or interns.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Current credentialing as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Active licensure from the State Dietetics Licensing Board where required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as well as experience with electronic medical records and nutrient analysis software.
- At least one year of previous hospital experience is highly preferred.
Compensation and benefits
