At Arc’teryx, we are driven by a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to sustainability. We are currently looking for a dedicated Recruiter to join our team in Japan. As our first recruiter in the region, you will play a foundational role in shaping how we attract and acquire talent for both our corporate office and our retail stores. You will work closely with a Talent Acquisition Manager and be supported by a global team of professionals who are just as passionate about the candidate experience as you are.

The opportunity

This is a full-time, hybrid role designed for a senior professional who thrives on building relationships and creating efficient processes. You will serve as a key partner to our people leaders, helping them identify talent gaps and ensuring that every person we hire aligns with our core values. By evolving our recruitment tools and acting as a spokesperson for our organization, you will directly influence our growth and culture in Japan.

A day in the life

• You will manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to making hiring recommendations that support our retail and corporate expansion.
• You will collaborate with store managers and HR Business Partners to educate them on our hiring practices and ensure that our decision-making remains clear, fair, and unbiased.
• You will maintain candidate records in our applicant tracking system and coordinate with our People and Culture teams to ensure that every new hire enjoys a seamless onboarding experience.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least four years of recruitment experience, ideally within a retail environment. You possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Fluency in both Japanese and English, allowing you to communicate effectively across our global and local teams.
• A proven ability to build customized recruitment strategies and work with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, paired with a customer-service oriented mindset.
• A proactive, flexible approach to problem-solving and a genuine commitment to fostering diversity in the workplace.
• The ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
