At Donor Network West, our mission is to save and heal lives through the facilitation of organ and tissue donation for transplantation and research. We are a team driven by passion, excellence, equity, and inclusion, and we prioritize building strong relationships. We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity within the United States. In this role, you will act as an internal consultant, partnering with hiring managers to execute a full-cycle recruitment strategy that brings diverse and qualified talent into our organization.
Key outcomes
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and extending offers for both employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast hiring needs and develop effective workforce plans.
- Implement creative sourcing strategies to build a robust and diverse pipeline of candidates.
- Facilitate the pre-employment process, including background checks, health screenings, and onboarding documentation.
- Train hiring managers on best practices, such as behavioral-based interviewing techniques.
- Maintain accurate candidate data and reporting within our applicant tracking system.
- Build and nurture relationships with universities, vocational schools, and industry associations to support long-term recruitment goals.
- Ensure all hiring activities remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience in a fast-paced, confidential work environment, such as human resources, recruiting, or administrative support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and recruitment principles.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle high-volume workloads and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
Preferred qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Direct experience in recruiting or human resources.
- Previous work experience in a healthcare environment.
- Professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
