The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Senior Quality PCBA Inspector to join us for a full-time, 3 to 6 month contract based on-site in Torrance, California. This role is vital to our mission, as you will serve as our eyes and ears on the ground at our client's supplier locations. You will ensure that every piece of electronic equipment meets rigorous quality benchmarks, helping us uphold the reputation for precision that our clients have come to expect from SQA Services.
A day in the life
- You will perform detailed visual inspections of printed circuit board assemblies, carefully verifying component placement and solder quality against strict design specifications and IPC-A-610 standards.
- You will manage the documentation process, confirming that all shipping paperwork, part numbers, and serial numbers are accurate and legible.
- You will interpret complex manufacturing drawings and circuit board layouts to identify any non-conformances, ensuring that production schedules remain on track while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in electronic manufacturing. Because this role involves access to ITAR-controlled technical data, you must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident. You possess the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a PCBA Inspector or Assembler.
- A solid understanding of PCBA assembly methods and the ability to read complex circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in documenting Certificates of Conformance and a working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new software and organizational workflows.
- Bonus points if you hold a current or previous IPC-A-610 certification, have experience with LEAN manufacturing, or possess a degree in engineering.
Why you'll love it here
Joining SQA Services means becoming part of a global team that values expertise and local insight. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we believe that our strength lies in the diverse backgrounds and merits of our associates. You will have the chance to work on-site in a dynamic manufacturing environment where your keen eye for quality will have a direct impact on our success and the satisfaction of our clients.
