- Integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous, reliable deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate specifications into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Perform end-to-end validation of user flows to identify usability gaps, visual inconsistencies, and friction points.
- Partner with data engineering and science teams to audit data accuracy and verify logic across dashboards and exports.
- Own the regression testing strategy and document QA processes to maintain high standards of reliability.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, providing early feedback during requirements gathering and design.
Must-haves
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance or test engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively across teams, including Engineering, Design, and Data.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a focus on clear documentation and bug reporting.
- A user-centric mindset with the ability to balance technical rigor with intuitive product design.
- Experience working with data to investigate logic, validate accuracy, and mitigate risks.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with an expectation to be in our DC office at least two days per week.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Docker, Postman, and Storybook.
- Experience with accessibility testing standards like WCAG and associated tools.
- Background in software development with familiarity in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Ruby.
- Solid understanding of security testing principles.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Benefits
- Hybrid work model with a collaborative team culture.
- Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on equitable access to education and career opportunities.
