The role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based out of our North Vancouver office, and it is designed for an experienced professional who is passionate about building robust testing frameworks. You will work closely with our QA Automation Lead to implement new tools and practices, ensuring that our development teams have the confidence they need to release high-quality features to our customers.
Core responsibilities
- Collaborate with the QA Automation Lead to develop and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy and roadmap across our various projects.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test scripts to support our agile squads and ensure the quality of our released code.
- Mentor and support fellow team members by sharing technical expertise, providing guidance on automation best practices, and assisting in the troubleshooting of complex issues.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Over 5 years of experience in software QA, with a deep understanding of testing best practices.
- Proven proficiency in JavaScript, ReactJS, and Shell Scripting.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows, including GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD per year. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on your unique skills, experience, and training. In addition to base pay, we offer a competitive bonus program and the following perks:
