Welcome to NEM Energy, a global leader in heat transfer technology with nearly a century of expertise. We are proud of our history, having delivered nearly 1,000 steam generators across six continents to support power generation and oil and gas industries worldwide. Our team is driven by a commitment to safety, innovation, and high-quality engineering, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to help us maintain these standards.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Quality and Control Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the Netherlands. This position is vital to our project lifecycle, as you will bridge the gap between our sales phase and final operational delivery. You will take ownership of fabrication specifications and inspection planning, ensuring that all equipment engineered by NEM and produced by our third-party partners meets our rigorous quality and certification standards.
What will you do?
- Develop comprehensive inspection plans and lead pre-planning meetings to ensure customer requirements are fully integrated into the manufacturing process.
- Conduct on-site inspections at supplier facilities to verify that products comply with legal regulations, design codes, and our internal technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Engineering, to review subcontractor procedures and maintain clear communication with clients and external inspection bodies.
What makes you a great fit?
To thrive in this role, you should have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, ideally at an MBO+ level. You should be comfortable working with construction codes such as ASME, AWS, and EN 12952. We value candidates who have a genuine interest in how designs are physically constructed and who can translate complex technical data into clear, actionable guidelines. Because you will be working in an international environment, you must be fluent in both English and Dutch. Additionally, you should be prepared to travel regularly to visit supplier sites and manage your own schedule effectively. An IKT or EWT specialization is considered a significant advantage.
What's in it for you?
Joining our team means becoming part of a multi-cultural, international project environment where you will work alongside industry experts. We offer several benefits to support your career and work-life balance:
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- A flexible work environment, including a 60/40 split arrangement.
- Dedicated opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
