QA Engineer at StartEngine

We are currently looking for a talented QA Engineer to join our fully remote team and help us maintain the high standards of our growing platform.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with product and development teams during refinement meetings to clarify requirements and provide actionable feedback.
• Execute thorough exploratory and regression testing to ensure our web and mobile applications function flawlessly.
• Design, maintain, and run comprehensive test cases while managing the lifecycle of identified defects.
• Propose software enhancements that directly improve the end-user experience.
• Triage and debug issues reported by both internal teams and our user base.
• Contribute to the evolution of our internal quality standards and foster a culture of excellence across the engineering department.
• Work alongside designers and developers to ensure every product release meets our high expectations for performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manual testing for both web and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in testing APIs, with a preference for candidates who have experience with API automation.
• Technical competency with Git, GitHub, and Jira.
• Experience in writing detailed test cases and utilizing test case management software.
• Comfortable navigating and working within the command line.
• Must reside in the United States and possess authorization to work for any employer on a full-time basis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience utilizing web debugging proxies.
• Background in mobile web and iOS-specific testing.
