Imagine a future where American manufacturers no longer struggle to find trusted partners close to home. At Sustainment, we build the digital tools that connect U.S. factories with vetted domestic suppliers, creating a secure and resilient network that strengthens both industry and national security. As a public benefit corporation, our mission is to keep critical production capabilities within our borders and help the entire ecosystem thrive.
The opportunity
We are searching for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will safeguard the reliability of the platform our customers depend on every day. In this role you will shape how we verify new capabilities, catch issues early, and continuously raise the standard of our software. Your work directly supports manufacturers and suppliers who rely on Sustainment to keep their operations running smoothly and securely.
A day in the life
- You design and run both manual and automated tests, writing Cypress scripts that cover the most important user journeys across our web application.
- You review upcoming features with product and engineering teammates, giving clear feedback on requirements and spotting potential quality risks before code is released.
- You document findings in concise bug reports, track test coverage, and help refine our overall testing approach so the team can move quickly without sacrificing reliability.
Who you are
You bring at least two years of hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and running automated QA tests, along with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical background. You are comfortable working in an Agile environment and have a solid grasp of software QA methodologies, functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing. Strong analytical thinking helps you identify the best opportunities for automation, while clear communication lets you collaborate effectively with developers and product managers. Familiarity with Cypress is highly valued, and any previous exposure to UI or API automation frameworks, CI pipelines, or early-stage SaaS products is a plus. Because our platform is built with .NET and Angular, an understanding of those technologies helps you work more effectively with the engineering team. You must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Why you'll love it here
You will join a mission-driven team that values quality, transparency, and continuous improvement. We offer paid time off, the freedom to work remotely from anywhere, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, company holidays, and 401K matching. At Sustainment you will have a direct hand in strengthening American manufacturing while enjoying the flexibility and support needed to do your best work.
