QA Engineer at Blockstream

We are currently transforming traditional financial systems by providing consumers and enterprises with solutions that improve scalability, security, and efficiency. Our portfolio includes a full stack of innovative products, ranging from layer-2 projects like Liquid and Core Lightning to hardware and software wallets such as Jade and Green. We are now looking for a QA Engineer to join our team on-site in Turin, Italy, to help us maintain the high standards our users expect.

Key outcomes

• Create and carry out comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for our blockchain applications and APIs.
• Build and maintain automated frameworks that cover functional, performance, and security testing needs.
• Perform both manual and automated testing across our payment systems, wallets, and decentralized applications.
• Track and document defects using standard tools like GitHub or Jira.
• Work alongside developers during feature reviews to ensure every new release is fully testable.
• Execute security testing to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Partner with our DevOps team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve execution within cloud environments.
• Manage regression testing to ensure system stability and prevent failures.
• Stay current with industry trends by researching and applying new QA methodologies specific to the fintech and blockchain sectors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally within the blockchain, security, or fintech fields.
• Solid proficiency in automation testing frameworks.
• A deep understanding of how Bitcoin and blockchain technology function.
• Practical experience using API testing tools.
• Competency in various scripting languages.
• Familiarity with security testing practices, such as vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Experience utilizing performance testing tools.
• Strong analytical capabilities and a talent for solving complex problems.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
