QA Engineer at Mbcapital

We are currently looking for a dedicated QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Dorado, Puerto Rico. You will play a vital role in refining our infrastructure, helping us seamlessly transition new strategies onto our automated systems while ensuring everything we build remains robust and reliable.

The opportunity

This is a hybrid role designed for someone who can bridge the gap between technical engineering and the fast-paced world of trading. You will be an early member of our engineering group, meaning your work will have a direct impact on our platform's stability. By thinking like a trader and acting like an engineer, you will ensure our internal tools are ready for the complexities of the market.

A day in the life

• You will design, implement, and maintain manual test scripts for our internal products while building demo strategies to stress-test our environment.
• You will build and manage automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to help us scale, monitor, and deploy our microservices in the cloud.
• You will collaborate closely with our trading unit to analyze strategy results and ensure our engineering solutions align perfectly with our business goals.

Who you are

We are looking for a mid-level professional who is fluent in English and ready to tackle new challenges with a positive attitude. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following experience and skills:

• At least 2 years of experience with one of these languages: JavaScript, C#, Java, C++, or Python.
• At least 1 year of experience working with SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Unix command line tools.
• Familiarity with sockets and basic networking concepts.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, including relational databases, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• A strong interest in markets or equity trading is a significant plus, as is experience with cloud computing platforms.
