QA Engineer at Pano

The role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this remote-friendly position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our end-to-end software capabilities. We are looking for a collaborative, creative, and driven professional who is ready to take ownership of our validation pipelines and help us maintain the high standards required to protect communities from wildfire threats.

Core responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and cases while automating validation processes to ensure our features perform reliably for our users.
• Build and maintain robust automation suites using tools like Cypress for UI and API testing, and k6 for performance validation.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to identify defects, track issues, and participate in on-call rotations to resolve production challenges.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong foundation in quality assurance and a passion for building scalable systems. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in QA engineering, including 3 years within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
• Expertise in developing QA processes and executing both API and UI testing.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing automation scripts.
• Experience with performance testing tools, visual testing, and accessibility standards.
• Practical knowledge of SQL, Jira for issue tracking, and TestRail for test management.
• A proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues during the testing lifecycle.
