What you bring

As a Senior Python Engineer specializing in Django, you will work in a full-time, on-site capacity based in Germany. You will play a central role in our agile, interdisciplinary teams, ensuring our backend systems are robust and scalable. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing sophisticated Django-based backend applications to integrate AI models into client workflows.
• Collaborating closely with our frontend team to build seamless interfaces and data structures.
• Implementing secure REST interfaces to facilitate reliable communication with external systems, including microservices and ERP platforms.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong background in software engineering, ideally supported by a university degree in computer science or a related technical field, though extensive practical experience is equally valued. You should be highly proficient in Python and have a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns, always prioritizing clean code and testability. Your technical toolkit should include expertise in PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Neo4j, and OpenSearch, along with a solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and IT security principles, specifically the OWASP Top Ten. Because we work in an international environment, you must be able to communicate effectively in both German and English.
