We are QCELLS Enable, the dedicated EPC division of Qcells focused on the commercial, industrial, and distributed generation solar markets. Our mission is to deliver world-class design and installation services for large-scale PV and energy storage systems across the United States. Because we are a leading module manufacturer, we offer comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers. We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our engineering team as a PV Design Engineer in a remote capacity.
What you'll be doing
- Transform initial system concepts into fully detailed, construction-ready designs for commercial and utility-scale solar projects ranging from 50kW to 5MW.
- Create precise construction documentation using AutoCAD while coordinating closely with procurement managers, utility providers, and permitting agencies.
- Perform site assessments and production analysis for PV arrays, including the integration of energy storage systems into your designs.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. We are looking for someone with 1 to 4 years of professional experience in the design and development of solar or wind power plants. You should have a strong grasp of the National Electrical Code and be highly proficient in AutoCAD, including a deep understanding of layer control, scaling, and sheet sets. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as you will be working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
